Apurímac River Rafting 4 Days / 3 Nights

The Apurímac is rated, by those who know, among the world’s 10 best rivers to run for its variety of rapids and nice climate. The Apurímac-Ucayali-Amazon River is the longest river in the world, but too turbulent to be useful like the Nile. The name of the river may mean God Talking, or Thunder under the Mountain.

Day 01: Cusco - Apurímac River:

At 9:00 am we go from Cusco five hours southeast to the Wallpachaca Bridge, 2,000 m.a.s.l. and 1,400 meters below Cusco. After lunch our guide will give safety instructions and demonstrate the equipment. We will raft for 2
hours on class II and III rapids. Then we relax and camp on the beach.

Day 02: Apurímac River:

After breakfast we pack up camp, before rafting down class III and IV rapids for about seven hours, stopping only for lunch, and to navigate some class IV rapids. Then we will set up camp and rest after dinner on the beach.
